Success Stories / Andrew

Homeless and unsure of his future, Andrew came to St. Leonard’s House in need of direction and help. It was apparent that Andrew was eager to learn; he took to the program without hesitation. While a resident, he completed the Barlow Center’s Green Building Maintenance Class. Currently employed at a West Loop restaurant, Andrew is planning to attend school to ensure a brighter future. It’s hard to recognize the Andrew of today as the young man who came to St. Leonard’s six months earlier.

“I am very grateful for the opportunities that St. Leonard’s House provided for me. It has aided and assisted me not only in overcoming homelessness, but also in equipping me with solid principals and life skills so that I can be successful in my life choices and with career goals.”
