The purpose of the Michael Barlow Center training and education programs is to prepare individuals for the world of employment. Job seekers who have completed one or more of these programs are referred to the Michael Barlow Center’s Job Developer. The Job Developer meets with participants to assess skills for appropriate job referrals. The Center continues to work with individuals until they are successfully working in a full-time, permanent position. To complement the Job Developer in achieving this goal, the Center has a Retention Counselor who continues to work with individuals to address barriers to long-term job retention.
