Ways to Make a Difference at St. Leonard’s
Share your time:
- Be a mentor and provide a support network to a resident.
- Be a tutor and teach new skills in math, literacy, resume building/writing, computers/internet, or finance/budgeting.
- Share your special skill as a plumber, electrician, gardener, carpenter, cosmetologist, etc.
- Use your expertize by assisting with graphic design, photography, writing, social media, blogging, outreach, office support, event planning, fundraising or share your unique talent.
- Assist with special projects in the office.
Support residents in need:
- Coordinate a special drive to collect necessities for residents including personal care products, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Make “care boxes” for our residents moving from St. Leonard’s into their own homes.
- Provide a meal for our residents.
- Donate a new item from our Amazon wish list, donate a gift card or support the Holiday Gift Program.
Spread the word:
- Invite St. Leonard’s to speak at your faith community or community organization.
- Become a fan of St. Leonard’s on Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Join our volunteer network and share the ongoing work of St. Leonard’s.
- Build our network by telling friends and family about St. Leonard’s and invite them to take a tour.
- Share your passion by speaking about St. Leonard’s at community events, organizations, workplaces and within your networks.
Provide support:
- Attend a St. Leonard’s event including the Annual Picnic, Gala, or other activities.
- Make an annual financial donation.
- Host a fundraising event with the proceeds benefiting St. Leonard’s.
- Share your time and talent by joining a committee.
- Designate St. Leonard’s as your charity at Amazon Smile and they will donate .05% of qualifying purchases.
- Leverage the matching gift program at your or your significant other’s workplace.
Make a charitable donation to support the men and women who participate in programming.
Volunteer your time with a group or as an individual.
