Thank you for all who celebrated with us at the Heart of Saint Leonard’s on October 15. Almost 250 of us gathered, including 40 alumni and current participants, to celebrate Saint Leonard’s Ministries.
We are thankful for the people who support our Community – alumni, volunteers, donors, board members, church partners, community partners, staff, and friends. Thank you to all of our generous event sponsors including our Associate Sponsor, Wintrust Bank, and Supporting Sponsor, United Center.
Together, we raised nearly $200,000 for holistic and dignified reentry services.
The event kicked off for our VIP guests with a stellar poetry SLaM with original pieces from Grace House residents Tina Jackson and Tyesha Townsel, and SLM Intake and House Manager, and alumni, David Harris (pictured below). Thank you for sharing powerful words and testimonies.
Thank you to Executive Director, Zack Schrantz, for sharing the State of SLM to open the program, highlighting the power of community and our record-setting year, serving 477 people last year alone.
Saint Leonard’s House alumni, and current Saint Andrew’s Court tenant, Laronn Fields, shared with the audience about what it meant to him to be part of the SLM Community. His testimony led into an energetic paddle raise.
Special thank you to the Culinary Skills Training Program for preparing a stunning dessert table to end the night.
