Grace House

Since its opening in 1994, the Grace House residential program has provided interim housing, emotional and spiritual support, and professional counseling to women who are exiting the Illinois prison system. Services are provided in a warm setting located on the Near West Side of Chicago. Residents are encouraged to set goals for the future and are taught how to make informed choices that will empower them to lead lives with dignity in their communities and their families.

Saint Leonard’s Ministries does not charge residents and program participants for any services. Residents and program participants can focus on healing and their return to our communities.

Where We Help

Staff

Program Services staff members are professionally and personally equipped to serve the unique needs of women residents. Staff members receive ongoing professional development training and education from Adler Community Health Services, as well as from a host of guest instructors. Each Grace House resident is assigned to the Case Manager, who facilitates the resident’s access to programs and services. Resident Coordinators supervise the living environment around the clock.
